What is Lake Pulse?

Modified on Wed, 18 Feb at 2:25 PM

Lake Pulse is an online platform designed to help people understand and manage the health and safety of lakes. It combines a web-based portal, a mobile app, a testing and monitoring toolbox, and human support to give stakeholders a complete view of their lake’s condition.

The platform helps you know whether your lake is healthy by treating it like a patient — monitoring physical, chemical, biological, watershed, and hydrology indicators so you can spot risks early.

Lake Pulse also helps you know if your lake is safe for activities such as swimming, boating, or relaxation, and lets you share lake status with your community.

All your lake’s health and safety data — historical records, new measurements from testing tools and sensors, and external data — lives in one place. The mobile app brings more stakeholders into lake management by enabling participation through field images and notes.

If you need help interpreting data or choosing solutions, the Boathouse provides support for subscribers.
