To start using Lake Pulse, you first need to create an account and find your lake within the platform.
Follow the steps below:
Step 1: Click “Find My Lake”
Go to the Get Started page and click Find My Lake.
You’ll be redirected to the Lake Pulse platform sign-up page.
Step 2: Create Your Account
On the sign-up screen:
Enter your first and last name
Enter your email address
(Optional) Enter your phone number
Create a password
Confirm your password
Click Sign Up
Passwords must:
Be at least 8 characters long
Include 1 lowercase letter
Include 1 uppercase letter
Include 1 number
Include 1 special character
Step 3: Confirm Your Account
After signing up, you’ll receive a one-time passcode (OTP) via email.
Enter the code in the confirmation screen
Click Confirm
This verifies your account.
Step 4: Sign In
Once your account is confirmed:
Enter your email address
Enter your password
Click Next
You will now be logged into the Lake Pulse platform.
Step 5: Find Your Lake
After signing in, you’ll see the Find My Lake page.
You can:
Select your state from the dropdown
Search for your lake by name
When your lake appears, select it to view lake details.
Step 6: Explore Lake Information
Before joining, you can view public information about the lake, including:
Number of members
Number of subscribers
Number of admins
Total data samples
Total stations
Years of data
Most recent data collection date
Step 7: Become a Member (Optional)
To participate in your lake’s community:
Click Become a Member
As a Member, you can:
Follow lake updates
Receive alerts
View lake status information
Upgrading to a paid subscription unlocks additional features such as data uploads, Toolbox integration, analytics access, and Boathouse support.
Step 8: View Alerts, Weather & Lake Health Status
Once you become a Member and select your lake, you’ll be taken to your lake’s Portal dashboard.
From here you can view:
Critical Alerts (if any are active)
Weather Forecast for your lake’s location
Lake Health & Safety Scorecard
Lake Overview (name, county, state, acreage, coordinates)
Lake Pulse Community (members, subscribers, admins)
Field Images and Field Notes
Recent Toolbox activity (subscription dependent)
If there are no active alerts, the dashboard will clearly display that no critical alerts are currently in effect.
This dashboard provides a real-time snapshot of your lake’s health and safety.
